Returns and Refunds

Our policy for change of mind

Occasionally we all make bad purchase decisions. While we do not provide a refund if you change your mind, we can offer you an exchange or store credit (minus a restocking fee, see below) if you return the item within 14 days in its original, unused condition.

The restocking fee is calculated on the original purchase price, as follows:

For delivered items:

  • $10 or 15% restocking and handling fee, whichever is greater, if you require our delivery team to collect it. This fee will be deducted from your refunded store credit. Please note the restocking fee will also apply even if you wish to exchange the item or place another order.
  • No restocking and handling for items you self-return to our showroom. Full amount paid will be refunded as store credit.

For items yet to be delivered:

  • No restocking and handling fee if you make changes to your order 3 days prior to the scheduled delivery date.
  • If your delivery falls within the 3 day window, 10% restocking and handling fee will apply to cover administrative and logistics costs.
  • If you cancel your order within 48 hours of purchase, provided you’re not within the 3 days delivery window, you may request a full refund to the same payment mode you used during purchase.

Return Requests

Return requests can only be made within 14 days of the date you received the item. To initiate this request, please email us at info@islandliving.sg with your order number, reason for return and photographs of the item.

Please note that the policy is subject to the conditions below:

  • Only items in as-new condition can be returned. Products with scratches, stains, damages, drilling, or any other modification will not be accepted.
  • We reserve the right to reject a return request of a product that, in our reasonable opinion, is of unacceptable quality due to fair wear and tear, misuse, or poor maintenance and care of the product.
  • Please return the item in its original packaging. Alternatively, repack the item sufficiently to avoid damage in transit. We encourage customers to photograph the item scheduled for return and the condition of the packaging before handing them over to our delivery partners.
The following items are not applicable for return:
  • Clearance items and sample pieces
  • Items requiring assembly
  • Damaged items resulting from misuse, abuse, normal wear & tear
  • Bedding removed from original packaging

We will process the return once we have received and inspected your returned item. If approved, you will receive an email notification with details of your store credit.

    Returns for faulty or damaged goods

    If you receive a product that is damaged, faulty or incorrect, we will repair or replace the item for you (depending on availability), or offer you a full refund provided you contact us within 48 hours of receiving the delivery. Refunds will be processed on the net amount paid after discount.

    Please note that upon receiving your order, you acknowledge that the goods received are in good condition and not faulty or damaged.

    To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

    Restocking fee does not apply when items are returned due to a fault or defect.

    Warranty

    We offer 12 months warranty for all products on manufacturing faults and defects. For faulty products, will will either repair or replace the item (subject to availability), or refund the product if these options are not available. Do note our warranty does not cover wear and tear caused by climate conditions, extreme usage, rough handling or improper use of the item.

    Most of our furniture is made from natural materials. Unless otherwise specified, our furniture is only suitable for indoor areas with proper ventilation and covered outdoor areas, away from all weather and moist environments.

    Do not place in airless environments where mould may occur.

    Restocking fee

      Price protection

      Island Living offers a 7-day price protection from date of purchase, regardless of whether items have been delivered. If you find your recently purchased item has reduced in price, with no promotional discount code applied, on islandliving.sg within 7 days of placing your order, you may drop us an email at info@islandliving.sg and we will offer you a store credit for the difference (must be used within 3 months).

      Our price protection only applies to items purchased from islandliving.sg or Island Living’s showroom.

      Price protection does not apply on clearance items, items purchased at a discount in the showroom, or during a promotional (eg storewide or yearly) sale.

      We do not offer stacking of discount codes.
